KYLE BUSCH TAKES HIS SEVENTH WIN

Saturday night's LifeLock.com 400 Sprint Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway was the seventh win for Kyle Busch this season. On a restart with two laps to go Busch took his chance to take the race when he went to the outside of the leader Jimmie Johnson and passed the No. 48 Chevrolet . On the last lap, Jimmie Johnson made an effort to pass Kyle Busch by running up to the bumper of Busch's No. 18 car but he could not get any closer for the win. Busch won by .159 seconds at the finish of the race. Johnson was shocked that Busch was able to overtake him on the restart. "There's no way I thought I couldn't get away from him through Turns 1 and 2," Johnson said. "But as soon as he broke the plane of my bumper, I knew I was in trouble, and sure enough, I was. I really wasn't thinking defense. But on a two-lap shootout, the outside always wins." Busch started off his winning streak when he won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway on June 22, 2008. Busch celebrated his victory on Saturday by doing some burnouts, eventually getting his No. 18 car stuck in the mud. Kyle Busch continues to be the leader in the standings with 2881 points.
